I just received this Hit Stars 1 cent unopened Pack in the mail from a seller on Ebay that I got for a $140.00 best offer. It's in really good shape. Before I pulled the trigger, I saw this same type was in the Scarcity gallery. It would appear that most if not all the packs in the Scarcity gallery would sell for four figures or more. What am I Missing? Or did I get a hell of a deal? I appreciate your feedback.

Nice pack, I was checking out some of those auctions as well. I almost picked up that hit stars pack myself!
Hi Robert,
I think you got a good price for that pack (as long as the back is nice) but you didn't make an "incredible killing" on it. With the scarcity project, we were trying to avoid making a price guide but were trying to rate packs by how frequently they showed up on eBay or other auctions. Obviously other characteristics of the pack also contribute to the price. For example, Batman packs sell in the mid to high hundreds but are fairly frequently listed for sale. People just like superheroes.
The last unopened Hit Stars pack I remember seeing for sale was at the Vintage Nonsports auction in October 2021. It sold for $148.75 but prices have gone up quite a bit in the last 2 years, so I think you did well!
That being said, the Scarcity section could use some updating. There have been some finds of packs that are influencing the prices. Fantastic Odd Rods is an example of this.
Does anybody have any suggestions?
